Sometimes known as document bibles, e-bibles are a means converting large volumes of documents into an organized structure of electronic files with an index.
How e-file creates an e-bible:
- The instructing solicitor simply provides e-file with the documents ‘as is’ and e-file and the solicitor agree on an indexing (naming) convention for the documents.
- E-file converts the documents into PDF files and names them according to the agreed naming convention.
- E-file creates an excel spreadsheet that lists all the file names and hyperlinks them to allow for fast and easy review from the spreadsheet.
- The spreadsheet can then be used as the ‘list of discovered documents’ by adding ‘description’ and ‘date’ information.
- The spreadsheet can then be sorted and filtered to create a sub-set of documents or to assist with the documents review process.
